Our Pillars
Education
We believe long term success starts with educational opportunities. Trans and nonbinary young people face higher rates of stress than their peers, and school can be a particularly challenging environment for some. The Renegade Fund offers summer camp scholarships for high school students between 9th and 12th grade to cultivate their talent in an affirming and supportive environment, as well as single-day workshops and seminars on topics that support lifelong success.
Career Development
We want to see trans and nonbinary people at the top of the ladder. With a host of career services, we’re here to help you climb up. We offer downloadable resume templates, assist with resume and cover letter editing, provide one-on-one interview coaching, and other career support. For entrepreneurs, we offer a live workshop to help you develop your business idea into a viable plan and scalable company, complete with opportunities for investment and financial support.
Wellness
Many LGBTQ organizations offer mental wellness services – a much-needed resource for our community – but few focus on physical fitness and whole-body wellness. Obesity rates among trans and nonbinary people are nearly twice the rate of the general population. The Renegade Fund aims to offer a scope of physical wellness services, including nutrition counseling, pre- and post-surgery recovery guidance, body type specific exercises and fitness plans, and more.
What Drives Us
The LGBTQ community is a vibrant and powerful community. It’s also a diverse one with a wide range of needs. While we want opportunities to fight for advancements and share in accomplishments as a whole community, the gender journey is unique. T/Q people face very different challenges than L/G/B people and have unique needs for support. The Renegade Fund is here to support the often challenging, sometimes fraught, and always beautiful path of trans and nonbinary people.
